Going through some old papers, found this amusing notice:
“False tooth can be recycled and utilized for social welfare. After cleaning and sterilizing in boiled water, etc., wrap it in rather thick paper and put it in false tooth collection box installed at each Regional City Office. Metal part of the collected false tooth is refined and sold. Profits will be donated to Minato City Social Welfare Association and UNICEF.”
It’s quite logical to have a recycling program for false teeth, but it’s a bit of a surprise to see it in print. I wonder how successful it is.
