Kyoto Tower postcard, circa 1966

Kyoto Tower 京都タワー was opened to the public at the end of 1964. This postcard was produced not much later; my family member bought it during a trip to Japan in 1966.

My archiving instincts are rather unrefined, which explains the tape marks on the back of the card. Fortunately, the description can clearly be read:

“Constructed in 1964. Height: 131m (building’s: 31m, Tower’s: 100m). Cylindrical Structure. A panoramic view in and around Kyoto can be enjoyed from the observation platform on Kyoto Tower.”
